틀에서 벗어나는 것은 늘 새롭고 재밌지만, 틀 안에 비해 비교적 덜 안전하게 느껴진다. 그렇다면 왜 가장 안전해야 하는 유아기에 자꾸만 틀에서 벗어나려고 하는 것일까? 그 이유는 아마 틀을 벗어난 공간과 사회에 대한 호기심이 오히려 세상의 틀이 존재한다는 것을 직관적으로 느끼게 하기 때문이지 않을까 싶다.
틀을 벗어나는 행동과 장난을 치는 아이들이 자꾸만 좁혀져 가는 현실의 틀을 넓히는 행위를 하는 게 아닐까? 이번 프로젝트가 세상의 틀에 가둘 수 없는 아이들에게 틀 밖으로 나가 노는 세상을 만들어 주는 유치원이 되었으면 한다.
It’s always new and fun to get out of the frame, however, it feels relatively less safe than staying inside the frame. Then, why do infants keep trying to get out of their frame when safety should be put first? Perhaps the reason is that curiosity of exterior spaces and society out of frame ironically makes them intuitively feel the existence of the frame of the outside world.
It could be the children who act outside of the frame are expanding the narrowing frame of reality. I hope this project to be a kindergarten that creates a world to play outside the frame for children who cannot be trapped in the frame of the world.
